That is consistent with what I was told last week (see #msg-1829137). Braxton also gave 12/17 as the expected delivery date of the first DMP-X20 players to be shipped and said that the stores were unlikely to have inventory before Christmas.
It seems that some of the store sales people will say anything to get people into the store, possibly hoping to sell an alternative player. A salesman at a Gateway store in San Diego told me they had a demo unit, but I am now wondering if he was truthful since none of the San Diego EDIGers have posted that they were able to check it out.
