Forum Uranium Corp.: Former AREVA Geologist, Ken Wheatley Appointed Vice President, Exploration

Tuesday April 10, 9:00 am ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - April 10, 2007) - Forum Uranium Corp. (TSX VENTURE:FDC - News) is pleased to announce that Ken Wheatley has been appointed Vice President, Exploration of the Company. Mr. Wheatley has 27 continuous years of uranium exploration experience in Canada, most recently with AREVA Resources Canada Inc., one of the world's largest uranium exploration and production companies. He has an impressive record of discovery including eight uranium deposits, four of which became producing mines in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan. Ken also managed the Kiggavik/Sissons project for AREVA, a project that contains a 130 million pound uranium deposit(i) located in the Thelon Basin, Nunavut Territory, where Forum has a strategic land position. Mr. Wheatley is a Professional Geoscientist (P. Geo.) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Northwest Territories/Nunavut.

As Senior and District Geologist for AREVA over the past 8 years, Ken was responsible for exploration of the eastern Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan, the Maybelle River project in Alberta, and the Kiggavik/Sissons project in Nunavut. His most recent successes include the delineation of the Dragon Lake Zone at the Maybelle River project in Alberta, and the discovery of the Mae Zone on the Midwest project, currently under investigation by AREVA and Denison Mines Ltd.

Prior to AREVA, Mr. Wheatley spent 5 years exploring on the Key Lake project, the Maybelle River project in Alberta, and in the areas between the Cigar Lake and Rabbit Lake properties for Uranerz Exploration and Mining Ltd. He led the team that discovered the BV zone and the P-Patch deposit at Key Lake. Prior to this engagement, Ken worked with the team that discovered the Sue deposits at AREVA's McClean Lake minesite and the Dominique Janine deposits at the Cluff Lake minesite.

Ken will apply his successful experience in uranium exploration towards Forum's goal of the discovery of an economic uranium deposit. Mr. Wheatley stated, "The combination of Forum Uranium's team of experts and their strategically located projects in the Athabasca and Thelon Basins convinced me to join the Company. I am looking forward to working with this small, but dynamic group. My goal is to increase the value of the Company through the discovery of a uranium deposit, the establishment of joint ventures and further acquisition of quality projects."

Richard Mazur, President & CEO, stated, "Ken's appointment marks an important milestone in Forum's growth as a premier uranium exploration company. In a few short years, Forum has assembled an impressive uranium exploration team and a property portfolio with exceptional exploration potential. With Ken's leadership and Forum's existing expertise, we are positioned to advance as a leading uranium explorer focused in the prolific Athabasca and Thelon Basins of Canada."

The Company also announces, in accordance to the Company's Stock Option Plan, a grant to certain officers, directors and consultants, incentive stock options to purchase 550,000 common shares of the Company exercisable on or before April 9, 2012 at a price of $0.82 per share.

(i) This resource estimate is historic and Forum has not verified whether it is a National Instrument 43-101 defined resource. Forum believes that the historic estimate is relevant because of the proximity of the Kiggavik-Sissons Project to Forum's North Thelon Joint Venture project area and the presence within the area of uranium occurrences in similar host rocks. AREVA is currently evaluating the future development of the Kiggavik-Sissons Project.
