I spoke to 3 other Gateway reps and they said the DMP-X20 will be in stores by end of this week and at the latest next week.

I just spoke to another Gateway Rep at the main 1-800 number, this was his response about the shipment to stores.

"We have been shipping some, but we are getting more orders than inventory (good for us, bad for you)."...

He could not give me a date when the stores will be at full stock. But just to hear him say demand was way outpacing supply was music to my ears ;)

Demo unit of DMP-X20 reported to be available at San Diego Gateway at 11144 Rancho Carmel Dr. [phone]. Perhaps a local could check it out.

I was able to reach Matt at 1-800-846-2000 ext. 75823 who is the Gateway rep that Dutchess (RB) spoke to earlier. He confirmed that his inventory records show that the Sarasota store had received 150 DMP-X20 units. However, the Sarasota store denies ever receiving any.

Matt also told me that he showed that 3 stores in California have also received at least 20 DMP-X20 units each, Manhattan Beach, San Diego and San Jose. Manhattan Beach and San Jose also deny having ever received any units, but the San Diego store told me they have a demo available but no inventory. There seems to be some errors in the inventory system since the stores deny having received the units.
