NorthWestener. I've been holding back ever since I read Joes post. My Dad fought in the war so that I and everyone else could grow up free.

I got friends from Vietnam war with lead still in them.
1000 percent disability. The war never stops for them.

Thank you for your response!
I didn't respond for fear of going off.
I hope someday Joe can go to the Wall.

So is my son. US Air Force. I wear the T Shirt we got at his Basic graduation that says "Air Force Mom" with pride. I'm gonna have to order a few dozen of them so I can wear one every day. He never got suspended from school. He never even got a detention. (His older brother, THE COLLEGE STUDENT got a few but he straightened himself out by high school) He was the sweetest baby I could have ever imagined and is now still a sweet young man. My stomach has been knots all week, I've cried every day. We were at peace when he enlisted. I don't want to see a war, none of us do. It was forced upon us the morning of September 11,2001. Thank God we have sons like yours and mine that will go to battle evil and give up their lives, God forbid, for our freedoms. Those freedoms even include the right to be ignorant. Well I ALMOST made it through the day without crying :( SH
