Bruce I was sent here to see if you could help me.

here is my problem. TIA
Sue

can anyone help me.

ok, I had a dell for 4 years and never had a problem. When we moved in the new house we had many issues with our dsl. The dell crashed twice within a year so i bought the Hp I bought it in August of 06 and this is my 4th crash. could it have anything to do with my house? either the electric or the dsl?

I was trying to restore with the recovery disk last night and after 5 and 1/2 hours is gave me error messages that windows could not be read or restore. I was on the phone with support early this morning and I ran a test, both basic and advanced on the hard drive both failed. I tried to rerun the recovery and the tech said something was wrong with my hard drive. I tried to erase my hard drive Per tech advise and at the end it gave me a message regarding corrupt partials. I may have the exact wording messed up. But I am tired of crashing all the time. and 4 time is less than a year with a new pc. there has to be something. Can you give me some advise.

Thanks Sue

Bruce, I downloaded and ran the pcpitstop erase and found items of interest,
(1) IM (2) auto-fill forms and (3) game scores

But the 'Delete All' option I'm not sure if it will remove needed stuff,
for example it flagged my Hot-Key shareware program's needed input file.

But overall it highlights lots of what we all should be aware of.

I'm gonna look into the following:

... a "tweaking" program to fine-tune settings that are hidden
