After Bankruptcy, losing our first home and business, an accident that had me disabled for 10 years with 14 surgeries, caring for 3 dying parents in our home and a son whom we adopted that had cancer ( who is doing great).
We decided that we will never catch up on all our bills, Never be able to truly retire but I refuse to let this time in my life go by without taking time for ourselves...
I'm also very lucky that I have an amazing partner who has stood by me throughout every major upheaval in our life.
Life is going by so fast Deann that it truly frightens me how little time is left. So last year when we closed the retail part of our business we made a commitment to make a lot less money. Not everyone can afford to do that so I'm grateful that some of those hardships has given us an opportunity to smell the roses!
