OT "Upstate" CA, almost 3 hours north of Sacramento. Although I split my time in San Jose (I'm sure it was lovely there too.)
It's fun putting your "stamp" on your house. Gets pricey though. The boat club sounds like the perfect idea. I just bought an old ski boat and hope to do some more waterskiing this year (I saw this every year though.) A club like yours would have been a better idea.
