Robot Soccer is very old...

Man, I really don't want to say this, but MS is Waaaaay late to this party.

There have been "swarming" soccer tournaments for over a decade now...MIT sponsored the first one. They have participants from all over the world.

Simulating this stuff is kids play next to the real thing.

If this is their starting point into the world of robotics, they really have a lot of work to do...

It's a humorous PR. IMO
