To follow up on your family peer pressure angle...here is some DD I posted a while back.

The trend towards "pre-planning" a funeral is another critical trend for EI.

"Surveys commissioned by the National Funeral Directors Association in recent years indicate a trend you have probably noticed in your own course of business: more and more Americans are preplanning their funerals.

A 2004 poll conducted by Harris Interactive® for NFDA indicated that 57 percent of adults said they have preplanned or intend to pre-plan their own funeral."

Pretty sure my mother or wife wouldn't choose a Redskin's Urn for me, so I will need to pre-plan.

"If you buy an urn or 'special' casket for a person, there will often be family-peer pressure to deal with at a sensitive time in everyone's life."

I disagree, your family loves you and if you want a Miami Dolphins Casket; you know... the pearl white one with the Teal n' Orange striped cross and a Dolphins logo on it? Then they will respect that and they'd probably have a good laugh remembering what a huge Dolphins fan you were and how many times you told them why Dan Marino IS the best QB of all time and that no other even compares. Then they'd remember when the Dolphins won the Super Bowl in 2008, Cam Cameron's first year as head coach. They'd remember how happy you were and how you reminded them, for the next 364 3/4th days, that THE MIAMI DOLPHINS ARE THE WORLD CHAMPS!!!!!!!!

...

Nah, I think family would understand and appreciate a special Urn or Casket for sports fan dude.

Just my opinion though.
