re: "D-Link and GemTek Technology recently landed 802.11g module
orders from Intel"

Your reading skills are what needs brushing up.

When a parts supplier "lands and order from XYZ" they are getting an order from XYZ to supply parts, not the other way around. The correct way to describe what you are talking about is

"D-Link and GemTek Technology recently placed 802.11g module orders with Intel."

Its not reasonable to suppose that Digitimes just used clumsy English either. They go on to say that D-Link could only meet the Intel order by "outsourcing production to Global Sun Technology or its subsidiary Alpha Technology." You don't "outsource" an order that you are not responsible for supplying!

Its clear that Intel is ordering parts from them, not getting parts from Intel.

Your reading of the story is totally incorrect. If D-Link, Gemtech and Global Sun are ordering from Intel, why did they say, "D-Link, GemTek and Global Sun declined to comment, only saying they will continue to pursue Intel’s orders.

By your reading, this means that these three companies will send spies to the Intel factory to make sure Intel delievers the parts. You don't have to "pursue" an order you just gave somebody to supply parts. But, as a parts supplier you normally DO "pursue" orders for the parts you know how to make, such as 802.11g chipsets.

"The two companies will use Intel’s 802.11g chip solution"

means they are using Intel's reference design for the Centrino chipset, but the Centrino shipset has nothing to do with the 802.11g implementation, as you well know.
