You need to brush up on your reading comprehension skills, Petz. The article says:

"D-Link and GemTek Technology recently landed 802.11g module orders from Intel for use in next-generation Centrino notebooks"

"The two companies will use Intel’s 802.11g chip solution, with volume shipments slated for the first quarter of next year"

This means that Intel sold 802.11g chips to D-Link and GemTek, not the other way around. This also proves that Intel will ship in volume next quarter - which is just a couple months away.

That's a/g, which requires dual-band frequencies. Intel will have a b/g solution in the first quarter.
