The "Golden Cross" works sometimes. In my largest and longest held position, Ilco, it has meant very little. This is true of most technical indicators in Pink Sheet companies in my thirty plus years of trading and investing: Technicals are subject to manipulation and interpretation much more so than stocks trading on real exchanges. For example, one reads daily of people attempting to "paint" a closing price by buying shares at the end of the session at or above the ask! Their intent is to create a false chart image. What nonsense that makes of technical analysis.
So much more depends upon the fundamentals of the company in the pinks: What is the industry and its trend? Who is managing your company and what is their track record? What is the supply -demand picture of their commodity or service? What is their capital structure? Are they, in short, meeting a need better than their competitors in the marketplace?
Sadly, in the pinks, these questions go wanting for answers more often than not, because reporting requirements here are dependant only upon the willingness of the company to be forthcoming: Not standardized rules of reporting such as are demanded by the S.E.C. of exchange listed companies.
Where does that leave the common investor in the pink sheat company? Tea-Leave territory. Here one operates by the seat of one's pants, and had best be savvy and a good guesser and a timely trader to come out whole.
To me this means that one should strive to study what little real information that is available, and have a hearty stomach for risk and potential loss of principal.
