call me what you wish(you would be wrong in doing so), but i have the same doubts as you do...and they are all valid ones...i like your idea with partnering with a cable company to add the service to their existing cable/dsl bill...they may know more then i do but that doesn't mean they're correct in thinking it will make money...i haven't looked much into clearwire but are they making money?...maybe we need to look more into the subscriber numbers that clearwire has in the cities that they are in to see the potential market...is each city making money for them currently?...what are their future business plans?...they have bigger sponsers and ad generation then we do so maybe they are turning a profit

Speculation:
Not one of us really realize where this is all going, or what the application will be...But it is apparent that wireless is the wave of the future. It will take over and will be a big deal.
