CONCLUSION: This is an arms race and non of the hyper scalers want to let the others get ahead.
You still want to have the AI infrastructure and at the same time be the lowest cost supplier. The narrative is starting to emphasize the huge AI power consumption requirements and the potentially up to 80% powerconsumption reduction opportunity using e/o polymer based transceivers at less than 1V ..,

Nice dude. Sundar Pichal and Mark Zuckerberg are basically saying it is now a race to move forward quickly and with generous spending to support a company’s participation in the advancement of artificial intelligence. Risk taking.may be needed to take on the newest and best technologies to do so. Without acting boldly a company risks falling years behind.

They are describing a very competitive market that will require aggressive spending plans, making sure that only leading edge technology is used. Building out high performance computing is critical and chip manufacturers who may benefit are fling high. That investment will not be as useful if connections between GPUs in data centers and between data centers are not upgraded and transceivers for long haul are not upgraded. LWLG has polymers that can meet those requirements at 1310 nm for short haul in and between data centers and 1550 nm for distance over 10 km.

If the market is as competitive as described, decisions and commitments to modulator technology for upgrades are very likely being kept close to the vest by the data centers. AKA under NDAs. LWLG will be very competitive in this market and has an excellent chance to lead.
