I agree with your comments about how Missling has managed finances of the company.
As for the Rett trial I would point out that had the trial been successful Missling and co. would be given props for the trial design having been an efficient use of resources.
Every trial starts as an unknown outcome. Type II errors do exist. Trial designs can be made to minimize such errors. That will increase the cost of the trial and can increase the possibility of a type I error.
