#222187 RE: BullNBear52 #222183

My son didn't have to game the system. He only had to answer 5 simple questions. As in...less-more, least-most .... ie.." not able to focus"..etc. He was 18...so obviously still in puberty and I don't know any kids that can focus, doesn't forget shit, restless, impulsive..etc(all current labeled symptoms) or have other similar issues-given puberty

Just five questions...and he was put on concerta(good doctor)...that wasn't strong enough so he switched doctors(dumb ass doctor-his own words..lol)..and got his adderall. The tests became more stringent due to the abuse...but absolutely nothing is set in stone or done as a collective. Hit and miss on diagnoses. So it needs to be taken seriously and fixed.

The crazy part....during covid...the individuals that created the shortage were older adults over 30. Imagine that.

so my son 100% has ADHD and has had it since a young kid. Zero question on it. My brother has it too. MY wifes best friend ZERO question on it. even at 27 I can tell when he hasn't taken it on weekends. he takes it for work. to focus and has a very good job in IT.

I do not even know what drugs he is on but it is not adderal

Now me - I was unaware but it all made sense when I was 40 and diagnosed and that was my wife suggesting I was. I also have a brain injury from a bad concussion ( 1 of 4) so its hard to nail it all down. I was on adderal and that was legit also. I went off due to being an asshole when drinking when taking it. pretty simple for me. YES I KNOW YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO DRINK ON IT>
MY choices were stop taking it and hard liquour or move out from my beautiful home and wonderful beautiful wife, family and live in a tent possibly. been ten years and I immediatly put on weight but we all know how to solve that

so it is like many other things way over diagnosed. Like Braces. But in my case I would say I was definitely ADHD and still am but something that can be managed which I do.

MY son was way worse and I see it even playing golf with him on weekends when he doesnt take it.
