It is hard to believe just how far we came from thinking, hey let's support this technology to take a stable polymer (plastic) and make it turn light (laser) on and off because in the future they will need it (that was over 20 years ago).
Funny I went to Home Depot and bought 42 items all in plastic bags yesterday, when I asked for a bag they said all we can do it sell you one of these cloth bags or one of these paper bags with torn handles, lol. I guess it is a good thing that I didn't invest in plastic bags to be used at checkout. One would think that they could invent a plastic bag that is biodegradable absorbs oil and provides nutrients to sea turtles to strengthen their shell from boat strikes.
