The only other way to “trigger” autophagy is to fast from food. The longer you fast the greater Autophagy that takes place as the body scavengers for energy and ends up burning the bad cells in the process.

I wonder if this has an impact on weight loss with a proper diet? As diet and gut health improve so does mitochondrial dysfunction.
