.7-.8 of the weight is not silk anyway. According to AI.
This is spectacular news. I wasn’t expecting cocoon stage this soon.
The team is in place. Local VSA already has a plan for who is coming on board. Scale up from here on out is a matter of getting more eggs. At 10x increase (at least) per batch, we are talking 2-3 cycles MAX to hit a ton.
We also don’t know how many eggs are on ice right now.
An average cocoon weighs about 2 grams I figure our cocoons are probably twice that weight so I figured 4 g. So 4 grams divided into 1 oz equals 7.08 cocoons per ounce. That equals 113.28 cocoons per pound. 325 lb times 113.28 cocoons equals approximately 36,816 cocoons. Wow. GO KBLB!!!
<< I'm assuming when they weigh these cocoons they're also weighing the moth that's inside the cocoon? .... Also are they weighing these after their boiled? Possibly still damp? >>
Yes, the Douchebag CEO is always trying to deceive investors into believing in unicorns and leprechans.
He is also setting everyone up to accept this way of weighing, so when he announces a "metric ton", the silk will probably be < 10% of that weight.
