Doubt they have managed to double the weight of cocoons. KBLB started with underweight cocoons from silkworms used in research, then they brought Bam-1 up to industry standards. 2 grams is my best estimate of cocoon weight.

Sorry, but that is incorrect. KBLB cocoons are no larger than normal silkworm cocoons.
