If the real number was published, you can imagine the backlash. I think it’s closer to 15 million.

Only five million? That very much surprises me. Out of 62 million people in the country who're over 65?

Dr Weber might have been citing older numbers, or maybe citing a prevalence number years ago (existing cases at a specific time) and not including current incidence numbers (new cases in a specific period of time within a defined group), not really sure, but I believe the numbers are greater. Depends on which study or report one reads, but according to the Alzheimer's Association in their 2024 report, https://www.alz.org/media/Documents/alzheimers-facts-and-figures.pdf, with Alzheimer the most common cause of dementia in people over 65 (60-80%), "the annual number of new cases of Alzheimer’s and other dementias is projected to double by 2050". The report also gives some other numbers that are interesting; "Of the 6.9 million people age 65 and older with Alzheimer’s dementia in the United States, 4.2 million are women and 2.7 million are men."

That 6.9 million number was just Alzheimer's caused dementia over 65, not all dementias nor anyone under 65 (smaller %, but still a substantial presence). If you take the 60-80% number, that gives 8.6-11.5 million people over 65 suffering from dementia. Other common causes besides Alzheimer's are; Cerebrovascular disease, FTD, HS, Lewy body disease, Mixed pathologies, and Parkinson's. Now from what I'm reading from all the medical professionals the consensus is that criminal traitor trump's dementia is caused by FTD ( Frontotemporal Degeneration ) and not Alzheimer's. According to the National Institute on Aging, https://www.nia.nih.gov/health/what-are-frontotemporal-disorders, about 3% of dementia cases is caused by FTD including over and under 65 and about 60% of those cases of FTD were in the 45-60 age. So we have those numbers to include with the total all ages who will be in the 65 and over group if they make it (some don't).

So let's take 10 million over 65 with dementia for easy figuring and at least quadruple that number for the detrimental effects on the population of "family members and other caretakers". 40 million number has a lot bigger meaning. The stress level, financial burden, emotional toll, and overall quality of life and health of the ones around the dementia patient that I can only describe as extremely detrimental and one would have to experience it first hand for themselves to understand it. Stress causes mental and physical breakdown, some of which causes lifelong medical, emotional, and economic issues. Most of the victims of dementia and family of caregivers (estimated at 18.4 billion hours of unpaid caregiving in 2023; spouses, family members, and friends) don't have the billions of political money laundering and paid for judges to turn to for resources.

When it comes to trump's dementia and his republican enablers with their rancid politics, the whole population of the US and beyond are getting effected. A lot of which are going to have extremely detrimental lifetime consequences. This solid FACT is of course being hidden from the American public by ones that only care about their own self, not any thought at all to the ones they want power over, or any thoughts and attention to the problematic issues of dementia in our rapidly aging population.

Trump's dementia should be used to giving attention to more and better resources to the disease, not hiding it or using it for political power struggles. In another special report from the Alzheimer's Association, https://www.alz.org/media/Documents/alzheimers-facts-and-figures-special-report.pdf, unpaid caregivers stress and burdens are compounded by the complexity of dementia care. That's the unpaid but not much better with the paid either, from the report;

Key Findings
Dementia Caregivers
Dementia caregivers experience difficulty and stress interacting with the health care system.

• Seven in 10 dementia caregivers (70%) report that coordinating care is stressful. More than half of caregivers (53%) said navigating health care is difficult.
Two in 3 dementia caregivers (66%) also have difficulty finding resources and support for their needs.

Cost and care coordination are top stressors for dementia caregivers.

• Two in 5 caregivers (42%) cite cost as a stressor in getting care for their recipient. More than 1 in 3 caregivers report coordinating care with multiple doctors (36%), securing appointments (35%) and getting help taking a break (35%) as leading stressors in navigating care for their recipient.

• Despite these and other stressors, only half of the caregivers (51%) report ever talking with a health care professional to help address their challenges.
Care navigation is an unfamiliar term for most dementia caregivers, although many receive help akin to care navigation.

• Three in 4 dementia caregivers (75%) report little or no familiarity with the term “care navigator.” Half of caregivers (50%) say they receive help with dementia
health care, support and services for the care recipient from someone within their physician’s office or hospital.

• Nurses (42%) and social workers (35%) most often provide navigation help to dementia caregivers.

One thing is for sure, you don't give a dementia patient one of the most powerful positions in the world or the people that want to just use him to gain power only for themselves knowing full well that trump will not be around in any capacity for very much longer, he's really not too capable now. Using him for their own power is ethically, morally, and scientifically wrong. It's a sin against God, Jesus, and against the teachings of the Bible. It is destroying democracy, people's lives, and the earth that we live on.

It's also very wrong for lying and trying to put every older person in the category of dementias (everyone except trump who is the one suffering from it). A very big portion of all our senators, congress people, and judges are over 70. We can favor a age limit for them, but age is just a number, some are as good at 90 as some only 60. Their whole lifestyle, experience, and the kind of person they are is what makes the difference. Liars, cheats, grifters, and unintelligent assholes don't make for very good leaders. Ones who know empathy, show intelligence and better leadership, and who are a lot more moral and ethical, are the ones who do.

“Behavioral Frontotemporal Dementia is marked by :
---significant personality change, inability to behave appropriately, and trouble controlling verbal outbursts, impulsive inappropriate statements, repetitive words or phrases, crudity and profanity occur like there are “no filters”.
--Impaired judgment and lack of awareness of their behavior and how it affects others shows lack of empathy. These deficits heighten underlying personality styles.
--Changes in diet such as only eating specific foods, or binging.
--Agitation and rapidly changing emotions are common.
--Changes in verbal output include reduced fluency, reduced vocabulary, impaired thought flow and inability to pronounce words. Sufferers repeat words and phrases
--Progressive Primary Aphasia is another variant. Impairment in the ability to express thoughts fluidly decreased vocabulary progress to the extreme of not being able to speak. (Aphasia).
----Changes movement results in shuffling walking or other gait problems. The Gait disturbance is related to motor cortex deterioration and at time damage to basal ganglia.
In order to make the diagnosis of dementia, a decline from previous functioning must be present. It is relevant to compare past and present functioning information provided by friends and relatives, as well as other forms of information that might be available, such as videotaped interviews, or previous examples of intellectual output. DJT’s behavior and verbal/cognitive abilities seem to have changed significantly over the past 20 years when one compares videotapes of old interviews with current interviews and public speeches.
In the case of Mr. Trump, concerns about dementia or frontotemporal dementia have been raised. Observation specific to this case include: Disinhibited behavior (mimicking a disabled man, demeaning women, uttering profanities at his rivals); frequent errors of verbal production; inability to control outbursts (i.e. in Court or during debates), confusing people (Obama for Biden, Nikki Haley for Nancy Pelosi). Forgetting part of his family when thanking them for their help. Confusing a picture of E. Jean Carroll with his ex-wife; tangential thinking where he veers sharply from one context to the next with no reason or logic; inability to finish sentences; shrunken vocabulary with many phrases repeated in a repetitive manner. (i.e. -“crooked Hilary”, Joe, Democrats etc.) These outbursts may appear out of nowhere mid-sentence. Lack of self-awareness is evident in that he seems to be unaware how inappropriate his behavior is - like avowing he is a ‘genius’ because he performed a simple cognitive test, deriding the relatives of a Gold-star veteran who died in battle, making derisive comments about women he’d have no desire for.
Somewhere along the way DJT seems to have developed a wide-based gait and swings his right leg when he walks.
