“...that has demonstrated the ability to replace, reduce, or avoid opioid use or the quantity of opioids prescribed in a clinical trial or through data published in a peer-reviewed journal.”

Wrong. But maybe if it’s repeated enough times, people will believe it!

Remember the Study below…the one you critiqued (well, critiqued here, not with the authors (as advised) so you could share their response to you with us…meh)? You know, the scholarly take about this Study (and that pesky outlier event), in April I think?

“Control of Postoperative Pain with a Wearable Continuously Operating Pulsed Radiofrequency Energy Device: A Preliminary Study

Ian M. Rawe, Adam Lowenstein, C. Raul Barcelo & David G. Genecov

BioElectronics RecoveryRx® was investigated in a double blind, randomized and placebo controlled study for postoperative pain and narcotic pain medication use following breast augmentation surgery. Data, VAS pain scores (0-10) and medication was collected for seven days post-surgery. The group using RecoveryRx® experienced 50% less pain and consumed significantly less narcotic pain medications. The study is published in the Aesthetics of Plastic Surgery.”

Scroll down to the second “study” to find it here…

What CMS will or will not accept is another matter. No one knows. I would think that the noted study would not suffice; not robust. Not being robust does not make it false, so don’t conflate the two.

Now, we do know that the cumulative effect of more robust clinical trials keeps surfacing, especially as we approach 01 January 2025. Getting noisier here by the day! Kick back, you have time! Kind of.

On another note, hope “the group” has calmed down by now after the valedictorians’ recent breathless “revelations” that PEMF/PSWT had been reviewed, and horror of horrors, was now not covered by CMS via the Humana pdf dated 4/2024. LMAO still!

For the rest of y’all that missed the excitement, it’s never been covered by any insurance. All insurance issues updates periodically, and when they do, they give the date of update. Imagine that. Status quo for PEMF/PSWT, as it has been for many years, aka nothing new.

Maybe if that “new-found” revelation is repeated enough, people will believe that too?

01 January 2025 No one knows what will happen. Not guaranteed to be a go, nor guaranteed to be a fail for BIEL.

All imo.
