Well the business I started and incorporated as a Sub Q Corp now has gross annual revenue between $1.2 and $1.4 million and has 12-15 employees .
I retired at 65 and sold my position to my business partners ...some of whom started as employee's 15-20 yrs earlier.
Most of my $ was made in real estate in Marin and Sonoma counties in Ca .
My formula was to buy small properties on large lots ( I've been in construction most of my life ) that I could enlarge during slow construction periods ...preferrably rental properties where 20% down , rents would cover mortgage , prop tax , etc . I did most of the repairs myself.
I also started ( but did not finish ) and MBA program at UC Berkeley .

So yes ...I have run a business
