Ramfan60, Proper nutrition is key to not only keeping ones self healthy,
but having a healthy population with minimal birth defects and insuring
children get the best start in life. I am appalled by the amount of garbage
food and sugary drinks that our society consumes. The US military will
not be able to keep the same mental & physical standards they had in
the past. Sadly, in our society it seems that moneyed interests trump
everything else...be it our institutions or leadership. When it comes to
health many solutions are available but not at the expense of destroying
some sacred cow. The FDA seems complicit in insuring that BP continues
to be a money making machine...Just look at how the recently approved
Alzheimer's Disease drug was approved after the vote not to approve it!
My theory is we live in an insane world.
