Only gambling addicts "Swing Trade." It's not a legitimate way to make money investing in stocks. An addict's fantasy.

I've never heard a prudent investor use that term. For instance, there's no such thing as a Vanguard Swing Trading Fund or a Fidelity Swing Trade ETF.

I never heard Buffett or Munger mention swing trading, except perhaps in reference to "investing gamification" which Munger hated.

I have never ever once gone to redditt to see what they are posting . there is always a new generation of get rich quick folks, 1996 I was part of that and got lucky on some Canadian mining stocks in my first penny stock trades. They were being pumped - I didnt know. I pissed it all way of course

Then got very lucky in dot come boom some very large gains. I was buying cars etc LOL I pissed it wall away again and only once did I really cross the line in to playing with money could not afford the lose and it was scary. I survived - she didn't know LOL and she didn't throw me out on that or about 5 other egergious things (none infidilty) and we celebrated 32 years married last night at a fancy resteraunt full of fake pretentious people - yes some rich for sure but not my place. Im better suited in a pub.

I suspect some got lucky on original Gamestop run with AMC and the others. BUt we all know many help way too long

You have cats risking their entire cash positions in one trade these days. Look at the Wallstreet Bets reddit sub. Half of them need to be in gamblers anonymous. I would think it would affect them. Their addiction is such that they want to be able to "swing trade" daily

That's not my definition of a swing trade.

Swing trading is a type of trading in which positions are held for a few days or weeks in order to capture short- to medium-term profits in financial securities.

There are stocks that are worthy of a swing trade if you understand their business model.
