no mention of payments to influence an election which is the guts of Bragg's case -- it could be the "unlawful campaign contribution" -- if Bragg convicts Trump of that, it will be an interesting appeal

my understanding is the feds have declined to charge Trump with these transactions

That is what I have never understood. I've taken out several HELOC loans in my life and it's not simply like applying for a credit card. The amount of information you have to provide and the time it takes to get approved could take weeks, if not months. Maybe for someone like Cohen it's different, but when I applied, it took a long time and was utterly infuriating. Also, was the property in his name only but did his wife also have to sign off on it?
