Skenes, it is too early to make any judgement what so ever, but the kid has a whip of 2 on the mound. can't say that is good, eventhough I know he has good stuff. Now as I said 1 start, even if he was great, can't oversell the positive, just like can't oversell the negative. I kind of agree with bull though, the headlines made it seem like this guy was unhittable, he wasn't by the way. All they wanted to focus on was the radar gun, which is a problem I have with baseball, not really a skenes issue. There is more to pitching than throwing it through a brick wall and sometimes I think baseball forgets this with there insatiable need to chase velocity in my opinion.

Do you even know how to keep score? The runners on base from the previous pitcher get charged to him if they score. Now if he left no runners on base then his era would obviously be lower. Now in 4 innings he struck out 7 but gave up 6 hits and walked 2. That is hardly stellar.
