In my experience, directors of small companies in particular tend to be hands off. They perform the prescribed duties required of directors but rarely question management’s decisions or strategies and almost never intervene. Most directors do not have the experience or expertise to comfortably do so.

In the case of Anavex, it’s hard to imagine that changing.
