it makes no difference now but yes, he absolutely hated her and at the time I never understood why. I later got the point but never took his position. We disagreed on a lot of things but I cannot begrudge him for his service to our country and what he did to just make me exist.
I do miss him, but at the same time I don't.. It might be hard to understand but when you live your life with someone you respect and that person winds up being nothing more than a cheap grifter who abuses the other family members that you also love it becomes an unnecessary tightrope that needs to be traversed.
It was just better for me to let him go due to my own circumstances. I'd like to see him again someday but I'm not counting on it, if you get my drift.
