I live near Greensboro and when the Canes moved from Hartford to play in Raleigh the arena in Raleigh wasn't built yet so they played in Greensboro for 2 years. Our arena was the largest in the NHL And we added an ice rink specifically to get a hockey team. When the Canes finally moved to Raleigh we were promised a minor league hockey team by the NHL but they failed to keep their promise.

So screw the Canes since Greensboro ended up getting screwed.

Greensboro is also home to the ACC the greatest BBall conference in the country. Who needs hockey.
