High placebo responses are well documented especially in pediatric clinical studies. Although data analysis is ongoing, the early conclusion is that the placebo rate could have been higher in the study due to a slight imbalance in disease severity at baseline, across the treatment arms, and the 2 to 1 drug to placebo randomization ratio. We intend to further assess the collective results and discuss with the regulatory authorities next steps.”

There is a lot misunderstandings on this MB on placebo response and discussions comparing the place response from the trofinetide to the EXCELLENCE trials, which is nonsense. It has nothing to do with Type 1 and 2 errors.

Most of the recent clamor for Missling to be replaced is a result of a single trial outcome that was unexpected.

It wasn't just the trial outcome. This was indeed an awakening time for me. I'd been a mostly quiet shareholder since 2015. There had been a few bumps along the way during that time but my attitude had been to let them go much along the lines of how I read your current response. Then we got anecdotal news on Rett patients and the January 2nd press release. January 2. The news was not good but most of my frustration has been around feeling that the company was being less than honest and downright manipulative. I do not chalk it up to solely the trial results but rather a series of sketchy events and then this one as the topper. Integrity matters to some.
