Doc Logic - Some may assume that BP's are keenly astute market visionaries, or nible to change course quickly, or admit to failure after investing vast somes of money and time, but not me. BPs are so profit driven, that we've seen many examples of them jamming ineffective treatments upon us, rather than taking a huge hit to divert resources to start from scratch.
I think NWBO is a big albatross for BPs against the backdrop I described. It's likely a combination of arrogance and willful ignorance, and now the prospect of paying an enormous sum to acquire DCVAX, leaving potential suiters wishing NWBO could go away somehow. If we consider the entire addressable market for DCVAX, and a premium commensurate with that potential, it would have any BP very nervous to pull the trigger. We see signs of this by way of BPs making large bets on building out and hiring their own people to see if they can succeed using a cheaper entry point to establish the same or better outcomes. It's going to be very interesting to see how the economics work out for all parties.
