You have made a troubling point in saying that reliability issues would’ve been raised in the first week of negotiations, and therefore his commentary doesn’t make sense.
That scenario is not desirable but could be wrong. However, in that case a conscientious person would have explained why they wrote what they wrote and what changed. So I share your uneasy feeling to some extent.
A solution may be that he just isn’t a conscientious person when it comes to shareholder relations. Maybe all of his conscientiousness is focused on closing negotiations and building the business! We hope that is the case.
