More like they targetted certain posters while ignoring others. I used to be in IT and the only way they could catch someone via IP address was illegally hacking. With todays routers and VPNs its just not possible. Your internet provider would/should catch it first.
I know when I tried to report some they kept asking for posting proof. I told them to hack it and was greeted with silence. Hmm.
