If there is outside money influencing market maker actions then what might save the day for them is a buyout at low value compared to potential value. Even 5-10 billion dollars in MM losses could easily be placed into the purchase price in addition to a low ball hostile takeover attempt. This is why I believe we have seen so many suggestions about buyout before Direct and tissue agnostic designation are even considered in the equation. Best wishes.
