I hardly think that's fair. Cashman also wasted money on Rougned Odor and Joey Gallo.
Cashman must be so thankful that the Mets are there making even worse deals.

Josh had one good year and that was 2015. There was a reason why no team wanted him sticking around considering all the teams he played for. The Twins I'm sure were glad to unload him and they got at excellent 3B out of it. If the Yankees wanted to unload Sanchez they could have released him before the season started for a fraction of the $10M.

Donaldson was a disrupt-er on the team almost from day one.

“If you think about that deal with the Twins — and everybody who listens to the show, I get a lot of grief for it ... I think that Brian Cashman does a very good job — but that trade with the Minnesota Twins is one of the worst trades he’s ever made ever,” Kay told his audience on Monday afternoon.

I know how he feels. I took some flak here for saying the trade sucked. Cashman doesn't understand the chemistry of teammates. You have 3 groups, infielders, outfielders and pitchers. Cashman made the same mistake with the pitchers when he traded away Monty.

BTW Ben looked stellar yesterday looking for the ball while 2 runs scored. lol.
