Among my responsibilities when I was working during my career was about 33 years of managing software development teams, as well as hardware and computer systems, and systems engineering. My career was about 42 years total.

I’ve personally done many of those things myself hands on before I became technical management.

So we have a lot of common ground and I can relate with you. What I miss most is working and having friendly relationships with all the smart technical people.
