#29535 RE: spdpro #29534

A pattern day trader (PDT) is a trader who executes four or more day trades within five business days using the same account.

In my small account I have to watch for PDT also. If I try to open a new trade and I have 3 PDT trades still active (within 5 days), I get a big pop up that tells me I could be changed to a PDT if I execute and then sell.

It is easy to check with IB and see how many PDT trades currently exist. I have not seen anything from CS. IB does do a much better job of giving more detail about the account especially accrued interest and pending dividend funding.

This has not been much of a problem of late, but if it gets to be a problem and since I mainly trade SPLX and TQQQ, easy to switch to a 2x fund or even a 1x.
