True, especially on a novel project that has been promising FID for years. 15 years and $8 billion dollars is no small commitment though on 1.0 MTPA. Spot market is killing them too. I have a feeling we’re going to be waiting a while if they plan on all 4, but never know. At some point they have to think about their customers, primary investors, ship builders, and government entities. They may just be going for 3 as they mentioned and waiting for the LNG market to start getting hot again in winter. Maybe make up the last ship when it’s easier post-FID on the others as you said. I just don’t see 4 ships in the next 3 months with the current pace, but it will only take 4 more deals to get there, so who knows. That’s a lot to close in the next quarter if what Vitol said is true as far as timeline. That is a secondary source though

From the book, Catch-22, the protagonist anti-Hero, Captain Yossarian goes to the psychiatrist in order to try and get out of combat duty. The attempt fails because of Catch-22. The doc explains, (paraphrasing)”Only an insane man would want to go into combat, and since you don’t want to go, you are therefore perfectly sane, and therefore qualified for combat duty.”

Yossarian is beside himself. “Well what if I tell you that I want combat?”

“Then there’s nothing I can do,” says the doc, “it’s all in regulation 22, that’s how they get ya.”
