In any event, many here poo-poo the significance of the patents. The patents are one of the most important parts of the development plan. They also tell the story for those capable of connecting the dots. There will be more. Many more.
More disappointment this Christmas, I'm afraid. But soon into 2024 it'll be a belated Happy New Year.

To those who believe waiting for patent approval is pointless or a waste of time, odds are good that the most valuable thing you've ever negotiated is your home.
Go watch some Shark Tank and see how quickly it takes for the question "Do you have a patent" to be asked? And while a patent (singular) may be all that's needed for a car wash squeegee or a bar of soap that smells like your hometown, to build a successful IP moat in a new paradigm of CNS research requires many.
If it's still not clear: Anavex wants to own the Sigma 1 market. Value that how you will.
