Naked short selling is like me selling your home today (while you still live in it) and setting it on fire tomorrow, then buying it back next week after the ashes cooled. I buy it back for a whole lot less sine it is only worth the land value. Improvements (your home) is now worthless.
You shouldn't be allowed to sell something you don't own.
