I wish I could say Yamamoto makes me excited but my gut is telling me this guy is gonna be a disappointment. Granted if he isn't in the top 5 of the cy young in his league at the end of the year it is probably seen as a disappointment. So the bar is so high to like exceed expectation, his era would have to be like lower of what 2-2.25. A 3.25 era although a solid season,will actually be an overpay, and will be disappointing, the hype and the salary is so high, he needs to essentially be a top 10-12 starter as soon as he comes into the league otherwise, you really overpayed in my opinion. I think he will be solid, but if he has senga year, which was agood year, that will be a disappointment for the team and the fan base for the signing of Yamamoto in my opinion.
