"If I remember correctly, Dr. Missling used to communicate a lot more, until Anavex was hit with a frivolous lawsuit that cost a lot of wasted capital to defend. After that, his PR's slowed down a lot. "

You make my point!

Let’s be clear about why Missling pulled back on communications. It’s because Anavex engaged in well documented stock promotion schemes, aided by Primoris Group, and got caught. All the information you need is available online. I’ll help you out:

The fact that the Cortina class action lawsuit was dismissed doesn’t mean the stock promotion schemes didn’t happen. Lots of guilty people or parties commit crimes for which they aren’t convicted.

After the stock promotion schemes were exposed, Missling could and should have improved his communications with external help from professionals, if needed. Instead, he pulled back. In my opinion, this was a huge mistake that has hurt shareholders to this day.

As for the meandering stock price being unimportant, officers and directors have a fiduciary responsibility to enhance shareholder at all stages. The stock price may be unimportant to you, but it is not unimportant to most investors. If stock price isn’t important to you, take your money and give it to an AD or Rett charity.
