So you're a long, because of the speed/small size/science, right?

I think he is a short. He came here about 10 years ago, I gave him CCTC and told him to go short that and he could make some money. I think he did and if so it was a homerun for him.

He may be long now, or may just be a short pretending, time will tell.

When you say that the "energy bill is just a rounding error on some bean counter's ledger" is a ridiculous statement. Data Centers use about 50 times the energy that typical commercial buildings utilize so it is not an insignificant number. I agree that cooling systems are extremely important to lower power usage to protect the long term stability of equipment. Data centers will use about 35% of their power for HVAC systems to cool the Data Center. They use 50% of their power to run the IT equipment. Any time you can decrease that power with more efficient transceivers you are producing less heat and saving dollars not having to go to more cooling strategies. The entire IT industry is interested in lowering power consumption so how can you say what you are saying?

As to your opinion that "no one cares about energy usage" as well as "carbon credits" go tell that to Google, Microsoft, AWS that are commiting to drastic reductions in power consumption. If you are running a data center and fail to address the large power bill your accountants warn you about, you will also lose customers as a large majority of the public want to work with companies that are mindful of power use and emssions even if you are not.
If Congress doesn't defund the EPA, there will be fines and penalties in the not to distant future for excess power consumption by data centers.
