WAMUfsb in Henderson, Nevada was where WMI had some $16 billion stashed as I recall. When the bank was seized, not on a weekend as was customary, but on a Thursday when Alan Fishman, CEO was on a flight back from Washington, DC, some of that cash was in the process of being transferred to WAMU in Seattle to cover the quick withdrawals that JPM and their cronies had orchestrated to create the appearance of a bank run. These were big deposits of way more than the FDIC insured amount. The cash infusion was not completed and the rest is history.
JMP quickly swept that money up and changed the bank name.m
