Unfortunately, "temporary" is in the eye of the beholder. Can't tell you how many times I've heard that term used in the workplace only to see it result in no changes.
I understand Ackman and Rosner positions. Being in the business of investment manager/advisor, they have to take a more conservative approach to protect themselves.
