I agree with you, an article in Nature, etc. will help, but it is meaningful steps toward approval that investors are waiting for, and that's what will dramatically move the stock.
I believe that it will set up a huge short squeeze, so I don't mind Fidelity paying me to feed that short squeeze. I suspect that many shorts are trying to bail out of their positions, but those shorts that still believe they can bring the company down will be hurting badly either by the end of the year or by the end of the first quarter of the next. I'm uncertain if just having the acceptance of a filing for approval will be enough to do it, if not approval will put them in a position to suffer dramatic losses. I believe that smarter shorts will have found other companies to short, and gotten out of that position here, but some, perhaps followers of AdamF may think he can put a negative spin on anything, including approvals perhaps by all four regulators. They will lose their shirts.
