I wouldn’t say that Science, a fairly reputable publication, was party to a short and distort scheme. There is some real meat to this accusation against Wang and SAVA. I mean, come on, if the guy can’t produce the evidence in support of his scientific representations that just violates a very basic principle of academic research. Did the shorts gladly latch onto this? Of course. But you can’t really say that they contrived the issue.
I think they just exaggerated the share price reaction, as usual, so I bought it strictly as a trade, on intuition.
