Actually, if you look at the devastation caused by Israeli bombs you can see that it's selective. Last night on the news I saw Gazans being taken to a hospital there and the hospital was unharmed. Unlike Hamas, which wants to kill indiscriminately for the sake of killing, Israel is at least trying to spare some things. Granted, not always successfully.

Hamas hid artillery and stockpiled weapons in residential areas and buildings. It's too bad they have to be destroyed but what's your idea as an alternative?

A cease fire will reward Hamas. War is hell.

You are correct in that at least Israelis had some place to go when Hamas warned them about their upcoming attacks.
