Frank Marsala, a CFA, reacted in a childish and emotional manner. He was not prepared for arb. I don't think he prepared his clients either. The last time I checked, Halpern had dropped IDCC from its home page.
BTW, I enjoyed talking to Frank at the ASM. In fact, everyone did. We were all delighted by his presence, his understanding of “the street,” and listening to what he and what he thought the street believed IDCC’s potential was. We even exchanged email addresses. It sure looked like we were all about to start a long and beautiful relationship. If IDCC has been able to avoid arb, Marsala and IDCC would have been like milk and cookies....in separable.
Looking back, maybe we were all being a little too vain. So it goes....
